The Sight - David Clement-Davies I read this book in sixth grade and really liked it. But a few years later, I looked back at it, and reread parts of it, and really thought about it--and I realized that the plot was pretty dumb, and couldn't understand what I thought was so amazing about it. First of all, it's unnecessarily long. Also, it's almost painful to read--basically because everyone dies. And that means EVERYONE, including the main character. Then there are a bunch of characters who you think are dead, but they really aren't, or they come back from the dead, etc. The plot is confusing, with too many unnecessary twists. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who is easily depressed or confused.
