I simply HAD to read this book, cuz I used to read so much Gail Carson Levine when I was about nine or ten years old, so I'm a little sentimentally attached to her writing. Her books do not often disappoint me. Although I still think her earlier works--such as Ella Enchanted, Dave at Night, and The Two Princesses of Bammare--are better, Ever was still pretty good. Definitely different from her other books that I've read. I felt like the book wasn't very eventful, and that the characters didn't develop so much. If it had been a bit longer and more detailed, it probably would've been better. But Levine's fans will not be disappointed.
