I really liked this. A great fantasy story with an interesting world and unexpected plot twists. I think what bothered me about it was the main character. She was one of those "I pretend to have no emotions even though I do have them" characters, which I tend to not like. I don't know why. Maybe because they seem to have no emotions … which makes them seem inhuman and hard to relate to. But the story itself, really good. I recommend this for my fellow Kristin Cashore and/or Gail Carson Levine fans.
