Leviathan - Scott Westerfeld, Keith Thompson Scott Westerfeld has yet to fail me; I have thoroughly enjoyed all of his books. :) Leviathan was very different from his other books, but it was really cool. I liked the whole alternate version of World War One – really cool concept. Plus I was happy that I understood most of it, since I learned about WWI in history class last year! YAY! ^_^ And the whole sci-fi twist on it was really creative. The illustrations also really helped to bring the story to life. The whole thing is like a Miyazaki movie waiting to happen … what with the battle robots in the air and whatnot. Haha. Anyway, I thought the world Westerfeld created in this story was very vivid and original.I hope there's a sequel … it seemed to end really abruptly, and I want MORRREEE. But other than that – fantastic. :]
