The Forest of Hands and Teeth - Carrie Ryan *Shudders* WOW, that was ... a lot scarier than I expected it to be, and way more depressing. It really got to me, actually. Zombies taking over the world seems like the typical dumb horror movie plot, but this book made it seem like some really awful tragedy; parts of it almost had me in tears. There were only two things that bothered me, and that was 1) The ending was really abrupt, and it didn't provide much explanation ... I'm guessing there will be a sequel, or there should be, but I still felt a little like "Wait, what? It ends HERE?" 2) The writing sorta annoyed me, the way that every other sentence was a fragment. I hate fragments. They're, like, my pet peeve. But, despite the ending and the awkward moments in the writing, it was really good over all. I really enjoyed it – even if I am going to have nightmares tonight ... O__o
